Warrior
After hearing from Hunter the incidents of 'Patrick the Mountain Engine', Edward mentions that Donald and Douglas know another lesser known engine who shunts at the Aluminium Works, named Warrior. Bear meets this character on a jaunt up there, and Warrior claims he is keen to travel on Sodor's mainline. His dream comes true when an accident puts Bear out of action for some time...
Explosion
Warrior is settling in well. Whilst pausing at Thomas's Junction to pick up passengers, Warrior tells Thomas a story about his days at an army base during the Second World War, when a rather conceited engine named Hammilton learned to respect Warrior when an explosives van caught fire...
Warrior and the Washout
Warrior is sent to work on Edward's Branch Line, and the claypits where Bill and Ben work. The twins are jealous of Warrior's strength, and decide to teach him a lesson by taking a long goods train. However, when bad weather causes a track subsidence, leaving Bill half submerged in the water, Warrior comes to the rescue, and the three engines become friends.
Saving Killdane
The Fat Controller brings news that Bear is soon to return home. Warrior knows this means he will have to return to the Aluminium Works soon, and decides to leave a lasting impression on the engines. When a wrong move by a new engine driver causes Henry to run away, complete with a goods train carrying oil, Warrior pirsues the runaway train, is skillfully coupled up to it by his driver, and slows it down for an Inspector at Killdane Station to jump aboard Henry and regain control. Warrior is praised for his brave actions, and as a reward, is always welcome to visit the Fat Controller's Railway.

- Warrior is the same locomotive prototype as Oliver, with a black livery. He wears the BR Coat of Arms.
- Hammilton is revealed as a tender engine, and Horace a large tank engine.
- The accident in 'Warrior' is based on an incident that occurred on the Settle and Carlisle Railway in 1960, when a Britannia's side-rod came loose at the head of an express, and flailed around, damaging the opposite track.
- The incident in 'Explosion' was based on a famous explosion at Soham, Norfolk in the 1940's.
- The incident in 'Warrior & the Washout' is a 'could-have-happened' incident. Something similar, albeit worse, happened on the Llangollen Railway in the 1940's, when the banks of the River Dee, which runs by the railway, burst, bringing a train down.
- The incident in 'Saving Killdane' was based on a story read in a "Reader's Digest" magazine. The incident occurred in America in 2001, though the locomotives involved were big 200-ton diesels and the dangerous load was molten phenol. The real runaway ran for 90-odd miles from Toleado Yard to Kentston.
