Racing through hallway

Thinking quickly you race down the hall. You know that even if this hallway doesn't lose them, at least you can split them up.
Suddenly and without warning, a figure emerges upside down from the ceiling. He looks vaguely familiar, wearing a dark cloak that keeps his face hidden in shadow. He hangs down so that his head is level with yours, stopping you in your tracks.
"You have one last opportunity to escape," he says quickly, "Come with me right now."
He holds out a hand, offering to pull you up into the ceiling tunnel. You must act fast.
