Investigating the main hut

Miraculously, the main hut wasn't torched during the raid. But it was ransacked. Upturned tables and broken chairs, torn clothes and smashed plates litter the floor.
Suddenly, you hear a noise and notice a person hunched over an open crate. A sole survivor!
"Brother!" you call out.
But you are mistaken. The person, startled, turns around to face you. You stare into not two, but three eyes... Glowing red orbs set in a pale, hideous face. A cave mutant! It is holding something in its clawed hands. You recognize the object: it's the explosive device rigged up by your genius sister, Loraia. The mutant growls, then tries to run past you.
- You defeat the scavenger and perhaps even grab the explosives (Combat with favorable outcome)
- You try to stop it, but the scavenger gets away (No combat or combat with unfavorable outcome)
