You pick up the fan and quickly move it about, blowing air across your burning hand. Unfortunately, though the mysterious flames did not respond to the water as a normal flame would have, they respond to the fanning exactly as a normal flame would!
They expand.
Within moments, the fire engulfs you and burns you to ash.
