On Sodor Island Forums there is a thread dedicated to hundreds of small computer-generated images, we call Sprites. In this thread, many members use programs like paint to create tiny pictures of characters, usually side-on (Apart from numerous face-on sprites made recently). These sprites have generated on the Thomas forums as far back as who knows what and now many members have shared their artistic talents with the Thomas community through sprites. Here are the main sprite makers:
- Rheneas
- Stepneydudette (Who generates the official sprite sheets)
- Dragonfox
- ATKtrains (Who also supplied the backgrounds)
- 01Salty (Who introduced the Large-Scale, Extra Large-Scale and Face-On Sprites)
- Jack Taylor
- FlyingScotsman
Minor Contributers Include:
- Gundam288
- BigBoy85
- Skarloey123
- Nanaki001
- Ace Bandit
- Grampus
- Boxtank
- JimBobDunnie
- Penguin
Small-Scale Sprites
The small-scale sprites started it all, and was the first type of sprites. Rheneas, ATKTrains, and Dragonfox specialised with these before 01Salty arrived and supposedly 'revolutionised' the profession.
