Notes to FON testers

Please jump right in and create a page or two or four.

A typical stories page:

I am not sure how to organize this, the most important page for our members. I want to encourage people to get content up. Especially, if a user is timid with technology. We can make it pretty and do linking later.

Chris's initial idea if for someone to

1. Understand how to use a wiki, or for someone to read help. Then,
2. find the Group Story Index page (use search?)
3. Click on their group
4. In edit mode, on their Group Story index page
5. create a page link (enter the story name an enclose in a pair of square brackets either side
6. save the page
7. Click on the broken page link,
8. Start entering in the story.
9. Hints, use preview at the bottom and save your work often (because this site times out).

Page name

In documentation this is very important. We need a book editor to give some clues.

Lists

We can create pages and place a story page in a list. Right now we are using a couple of lists that link to other places.

Categories

We can create several types of categories, with links at the bottom to each category

Internal Links

We can use a standard wiki page links in the story or in a story introduction.

See also

We can put a "See also" heading at the bottom and put free form links

Citations

There are several citation methods that we can use. We need to figure out if we need to create a template for them or if the signature timestamp will work for us.
