Proposer's summary and declarations
Ok, this is a response to proposal 307. If we get rid of what a turn is, we should get change the term in the rule that allows "turns". Otherwise, someone might be able to make an argument for doing something wacky ("This turn, I instate 5 rules without allowing a vote on them. Voting is no longer a part of 'turns'" or something. This exact situation I believe is covered by other rules, but someone might be able to abuse the lack of clarity in what a "turn" means). I wanted to get this proposal in before 307 had been voted on, because if it passes, then an argument could be made that a turn no longer involves making a proposal, therefore proposals can no longer be made.
As is, 201 reads: "A Player may take a turn at any time. All players begin with zero points." Applejuicefool 19:55, 14 April 2006 (PDT)

Before I vote I would like to note that there are other active rules that has the word turn in them. This may complicate other processes. The other rules are 203, 211 and 212. I have started a discussion here to try and organize efforts. Simulacrum 23:20, 17 April 2006 (PDT)
- That's a good point. Rule 203 is kind of odd because we haven't been taking turns in a cycle - there's no call for that in the rules that I can think of (players can take a turn at any time). The only thing I can think of is that 203 would switch to simple majority after each (active) player has proposed two rules. In any case we need to amend the others as well to remove "turn" from the rules, since we're not using turns. I'll do that now. Applejuicefool 09:32, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
