-- Expertise in a Global South approach to historical study. An interdisciplinary approach to teaching and scholarship with a particular emphasis on Agrarian/Peasant Studies in one of the following regions: Southeast Asia, the Maghreb region of North Africa or Mexico and Central America. Successful candidate will teach general education, department core, and advanced level courses. In addition, she/he should be able of working across disciplinary lines to develop articulations with other college- and university-wide programs. Involvement with off-campus institutions and organizations is desirable. Excellent teaching skills and an active research agenda required, with evidence of grant seeking ability highly desirable.

-- QUALIFICATIONS: Earned Ph.D. required at the time of appointment. Excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and an active research agenda required. Willingness to provide service to the department, the university and the profession expected.
