Director in Banda Aceh, International Centre for Aceh and Indian Ocean Studies (ICAIOS)

• The International Centre for Aceh and Indian Ocean Studies (ICAIOS), newly established by cooperation between international and Aceh consortia of academic institutions with the support of the Reconstruction Agency (BRR), now seeks a Director who will be resident in Banda Aceh.

-- The Director will be employed by and responsible to the International ICAIOS Board, but will also be affiliated with the Asia Research Institute in Singapore. ICAIOS is supported and governed by a board representing the three Aceh universities on one hand, and a group of International academic institutions with interests in Aceh on the other. The latter include the Asia Research Institute, NUS, Singapore; KITLV, Netherlands; EFEO, Paris; TUFS, Tokyo and the ARTI Consortium, Australia. The Director will be expected to reside in Banda Aceh for the duration of the appointment, apart from the agreed leave and travel on behalf of the Institute.
