-- Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach courses in classical and contemporary political theory in the Department of Political Science, beginning in August 2008. We are especially interested in candidates who may have broad interests in contemporary problems such as citizenship, cultural politics, political identity/ethnicity/gender, theories of justice, rhetoric and democracy, critical theory, or cosmopolitanism. The Department offers the BA and MA degrees. Teaching load for pre-tenure faculty is 2/2 for at least the first three years. Teaching experience and publications or strong potential for research productivity are preferred. PhD is required. Both mid-level assistant professors and recent PhDs are encouraged to apply.
