The awards began in 2006 and as of 2008 it began categories linked to the GFX part of the community. The categories have varied and changed with the exception of 'Superstar of the Year', being the only original award since it began. The Awards are nominated by the DXX Staff and voted for by the members. The DXX Hall of Fame takes place shortly after the awards, as did the Real Life Wrestling Awards.
