Nova Prime, at of the beginning of CTHS, is the current Prime of Cybertron.
After many years of peace under the guidance of Salus Prime, it was Nova's plan to get Cybertron back into the big leagues as a galactic power like it once was. While respecting Salus for gracefully repairing a war-torn economy and focusing his efforts on purely domestic issues, Nova grew restless on Cybertron's behalf, and accused Salus' administration of maintaining the stagnancy of a gifted population. His was a platform that spoke of innovation and change; Nova was seeking to usher in a new era of prosperity... a new golden age. And despite the quiet undertones of an expansionist agenda, his was a landslide victory at the polls.
