Touch is the means through which something feels and receives tactile information about the world around it, and almost all Transformers are adequately equipped with such sensors.

Dermaplating
Dermaplating is the Cybertronian equivalent of skin. It's a metallic plating that covers the softer protometals and the structural supports that make up a Cybertronian body.
Function
Dermaplating serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it protects the softer and weaker interiors of a Cybertronian. Some dermaplating is better than others in this regard, and is typically used in the military as armor. Secondly, it houses a series of dermal sensors ranging from pressure plating, thermal detection, photoreceptors, and more. Thirdly, Dermaplating serves a decorative purpose, allowing Cybertronians to affect different color schemes.
Hands
The Dermaplating in Cybertronian hands is especially pressure and thermal sensitive, allowing for more precise handling of external items.
