After a stressful meal with your family that you can’t believe you sat all the way through, you excuse yourself as soon as is polite to do so and get to your feet. You see the waiter by the entrance, saying goodbye to some people before he sets out, clearly finished his shift and about to go home for the night. You head over to the entrance as he leaves, and you hope you can catch him before he reaches his car. You walk quickly towards the entrance, nodding to the staff members who ask you to come again, and as you go out into the brisk night you spot him a couple of feet away from the entrance, leaning against the wall holding a cigarette to his lips, lightly scuffing the front of his shoe against the ground with a slight frown, clearly lost in thought. You have to make your decision quickly before he catches you staring at him.
