Phil: What sister? I don't have a sister.

Doc: I'm not talking about your sister. I'm talking about your cousin.

Phil: I'm don't have any cousins I know.

Doc: Don't get cute with me, mister...why don't you tell us about Hariri Chital?

Phil: Who is that?

Doc: Isn't it true that your last name is "Chital"?

Phil: Yes it is.

Doc: And isn't it a fact that "Chital" is a very rare last name?

Phil: No, I don't say it is.

Doc: Why not?

Phil: Well, my family comes from the district of Bakland Gaandu in India. "Chital" is a very common name there, almost as common as "Patel." There are lots of Indian-Americans with that name. Maybe not so many in this part of the country.

You're sure he's lying. You're sure you can't prove it.

Doc: What about your buddy, Hayden Dickman?

Phil: Who?

Doc: No further questions.

Doc sinks back into his chair, grabbing his pounding head with one hand. He doesn't hear any further words from you, and the witness is excused. The state, satisfied, rests its case.

The judge calls a lunch break.
