You have seen too many horror movies about hitchhiking to take that chance. You head to the gas station and start asking strangers for some spare change. Somehow you wrangle up $22 to add to you $5 and that should be enough to get you home. You fill up your tank and go back to the freeway. It is just enough to get you to your apartment. What a night you just had. Your coworkers will never believe it. You decide to take your car to work the next day and go back to working on the game with a new understanding. Eric praises on you on the realistic nature of your work and you earn a raise. The game is complete after several months and critics herald it as one of the most realistic motorcycle games to date. The company makes a large profit and is back on top. You earn a nice promotion and become the right hand man to Eric. Things are going very well. You still take your bike out on the weekends and your new girlfriend also rides. You met her at a motorcycle show where she admired your bike. Since then the two of you have been seeing each other and are thinking about moving in together.

Forty years later she is your wife and you love to take her out on your bike. She wraps her weather worn hands around your growing beer belly as you speed down the backroads. Your cheeks still hurt after every ride from the smile that never fades. The joy you feel from riding will never go away, and on your deathbed you know you will still be smiling. You are right and at the age of 73 you die at you home with your leather jacket still on.
