You know you have to go home and face the tree sooner or later, but you aren't ready yet. You walk right past your house and keep going...
"Yo, girlie."
You pause. There's an older boy, a punk, leaning against a tree, smoking a cigarette.
"You look lost," he says. "You wanna come hang out at my place for a bit? I can show you a good time."
He's a little greasy looking, and you don't much like the taste of cigarette breath, but he isn't ugly, and he might be just what you need to satisfy the tree.
