Okay, I'll buy that. So you check your Facebook! Two of your friends are getting married. Another just moved into a gorgeous new place overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Yet another guy--the one who would always walk around with pencils behind both his ears, complaining that he couldn't find his pencil--yeah, he has a startup now. His company sells an app that lets you turn your tablet device into a "smart Frisbee" that tracks speed and distance thrown. Yahoo just bought him out for 12 million dollars. Now if this were another story, you would feel inspired to go out and accomplish more than anybody ever has before. But it's not. So you eat a pint of Haagen-Dazs and cry yourself to sleep. Also, you default on your student loans and a repo man comes in the night to take your computer and all your figurines. Even worse, your $200 scale figure of Ultimate Madoka gets sold off for $5 for scrap plastic, and they reuse the plastic to make a My Little Pony fleshlight! Man, talk about insult to injury!
