Stone-faced, somber men can be seen sitting arout the tables. You count at least seven - all clad in sack cloth tunics or fur cloaks, many with weapons strapped to hip or back. Most of them carry scars on their faces, and the few that are seen walking around do so with the steady gait of sailors. All of them seem to be fighting men, which doesn't strike you as odd. The northerners are a fierce, hardy people; but far more primitive than their southern neighbors. All they know is battle There's always a blood-feud to be settled between their villages, and alliances are just as quickly broken as they are made.
Your father once said that they would pose a dangerous force to be reckoned with - if they ever stopped fighting amongst themselves and banded together. So far that has never happened, and from the looks of their grizzled, unfriendly faces you wonder if it ever will.
