To categorize a page, you have to put the word Category INSIDE the brackets. LOOK at other pages on this site. Notice how the category on the bottom of the page looks different from the way it looks on your pages? If you can't handle this, you need to stop posting. --Platypus 14:26, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

I much prefer writing my own pages over editing other people's pages, and I don't find nearly as much time for writing as I'd like.

The best advice I can give to a new writer is simply read. Read as many different things as possible, including things normally outside your area of interest. And make sure to learn proper grammar and punctuation. It really does make a difference. --Platypus 18:50, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
