In mere moments, several camera crews and the announcer are standing in front of you.

"The winner of Battle Royale, Zeke Davidson!" booms the announcer. "Zeke, how did you manage to do it?"

"Skill, cunning, and a bit of luck."

"When you and Marie were the last two out there, did you have a plan?"

"I tried to think like a predator. I figured she'd be waiting to ambush me, so I had to stay off the path."

"What are your plans now?"

"I think this is the release I needed. I've been battling my inner demons for a long time. I hope I left them all behind on the battlefield."

"You're saying you're going to try and change?"

"I intend to become a friendly, kind, and loving person, instead of an angry loner."

"Sounds ambitious. Good luck, Zeke. Tune in next year at a new location for the second Battle Royale!"

A man appears after the cameras leave. "I'm the sponsor. Here's your $200,000 check. Come on home." He drives you home in a limo and you feel the last of your demons fading away.

Holding to your new lifestyle isn't easy. However, with the help of Tabitha Jenkins, a cousin of Vanessa Smarth, you do leave your demons behind. You become gainfully employed, a productive member of society, and Tabitha is a loving and supportive wife. And you frequently think out of the corner of your eye you see a ghostly figure of a smiling Marie.
