You set out for the neighboring kingdom of Syalolloru, a highland kingdom to the northeast bordered by tall peaks and deep valleys. Duran explains that you are to be wed to prince Lashon Luster, in order to ensure a ceasefire between your two kingdoms. Betty compliments the way you look once more, before the carriage and its entourage lurch into motion.
Before noon, your company is beset by a band of roving kobolds as it enters the foothills of your kingdom to the northeast. Your soldiers easily slaughter the attackers, but some of your men are wounded, including several of the servants. Your party now includes:

"Something's not right" Duran mutters, "these scavengers should never be this far south out of the mountains this time of day."
"Captain" one of the guards reports, "we've found a trail where the attackers came down out of those two peaks."
Duran looks at you.
"Some of our men our wounded. We could rest here while sending a scout team to search for the source of these kobolds" (By 'we', you understand Duran means he will lead the scout team while you wait with the carriage) "if we press on, we may be beset by more squads of assailants before reaching Syalolloru."
