You told him everything about what Mr. Clark tried to do, and how you had escaped from him and his guards.
"And then I lost my cellphone. Can you please call the police for me?" You pleaded with him desperately. With an alarmed look in his eyes, he turned his gaze down the road and tightly gripped the steering wheel.
"Sorry, lady. I'm not get involved in your mess." He shook his head nervously as he put his foot down on the gas pedal. You can see an expression of guilt and shame on his face.
"Wait, wait! Please! You can't just leave me here!" You grabbed onto the passenger side door handle and tried to pull open as the cab begin to roll forward. You hear the doors lock with a click as the taxi accelerates and speeds away, leaving you behind choking on a cloud of dust.
