"What's your name, little one?" the silver wolf asks.
You're taken by surprise with this question, as no one, let alone a wolf, has ever asked you this. You can't help that tears roll down your cheeks. "E-Evangeline... Master."
He takes your shoulders and holds you out in front of him, looking deeply into your eyes, as his hand caresses your cheek. "It's nice to meet you, Evangeline. I'm Gaures. My mate's name is Surana, but I would stick to calling her Mistress for a while. At least until she warms up to you."
He's so nice to you, and you don't even know why. All you know is that the meaning of kindness for the longest time, in any form, had all but been a dream for you. Your heart swells with joy, and you never want to be apart from him.
You don't know what's come over you, but you run your fingers along his cheeks, and plant a kiss on his lips. "I love you, Master Gaures." you whisper as you separate.
He closes his eyes, and smiles. You don't know what he's thinking, but can guess it has something to do with how his mate is going to react to this.
"We should get going." he says.
