Many of Sam's customers love eating doughnuts while they read the news! Sam deliveries take a little longer, but with the extra income he's making from delivering doughnuts he is able to give up one of his blocks, supplying doughnuts to the new delivery boy that takes over. When the talk of doughnuts with newspapers hits the town everyone wants some and Sam quits delivering newspapers completely so he can make bank supplying all the delivery boys and girls with tasty breakfast treats of all different kinds. Sam initiative gets him hired straight out of high school to the Krispy Kreme management team, where he makes hundreds of thousands dollars a year and attends university part time.
