Stab him in the neck with the stiletto

From Create Your Own Story

You quietly swing open the door and sneak up behind the target. You reach behind your coat and grab your stiletto. You stand up and in swing your arm in a wide arch, burying the stiletto into the target’s head. He falls to the ground instantly like a bag of sand.

You are breathing heavily and Harvey asks you, “What happened?”

“I got him,” you say with enthusiasm. “I killed him. I did my job flawlessly.”

Harvey chuckles and says, “Excellent work, man. Well, done. How’d you do it?”

You tell him your story, how you fell through he window, hid in the closet, and struck the target with your knife.

“Nice work. You’re a natural, man. So, how bloodied up are you?”

You look down at your sleeves and torso, noticing some drops of blood soaking your sleeve and splattered on your shirt. “A bit.”

“Better get a new shirt. You don’t want to walk down the street covered in blood. Steal one of his. A white one like the one you came in with. And don’t forget to carry your shirt out of there.”

You walk back down into the hallway and find his bedroom. You rummage through his dresser drawers and find a shirt that almost matches the shirt you came in with. You pull his shirt on yourself and carry your shirt and coat draped over your arm. You calmly exit the house and stroll down the street.

You sit down in the car seat. Harvey shakes your hand and says, “Congratulations. Your first hit. Makes you feel good, huh?” You just grin at him and relax in your seat.

“What’ll we do about my clothing?” you ask.

“Eh, don’t worry about it,” Harvey replies. “I’ll burn it for you or something. Well get you a new suit. Something from Europe. That sounds good?”

“That sounds great,” you say and the two of you drive off back home.

That night, you are sitting on your couch watching Deal or No Deal when your cell phone rings. “What is it?” you answer.

Harvey’s voice says, “Dude, turn on channel nine. You’re on T.V.”

You flip to channel nine. You see Marcus’s house surrounded with police tape. The reporter says, “…Thomson was killed earlier this day at his home in Quincy. This is just one in a series of violent crimes in the Quincy area that ended with a bang today.”

The broadcast changes to a recording of an interview with a Detective Jack Marino. He says, “About five people have been reported to have been killed in this town in the last couple months, all by the same man using the same weapons. Today, we found out that our victim here, Marcus Thomson, is the assassin that killed all these people. We found dozens of combat knives and stolen guns on the premises. We believe that his death is likely some form of retaliation for one of his murders.

The reporter continues, “The police have no clues to the identity of the person who killed Mr. Thompson, but Detective Marino states, ‘We remain hopeful that we will find him.’”

“You did it, man,” says Harvey. “A nice clean kill. Untraceable. Just like a professional.”

“Yeah, looks like I’m safe, huh?”

“Looks like it. Hey, I think you’re ready to take on a mission alone. What do you say?’

“Yeah, sounds good.”
