You spend a week tailing Anakin, a heafty chore as his jedi senses are incredibly tuned, almost as well as a Masters making it hard to follow him unsuspected. However you find the time was worth it as Skywalker is a mess of unresolved emotions, all of which make great fodder to use against him.
One, you find he has a strong but complicated relationship with his master Obi-Wan. He seems resentful but also submissive loving of him making him one of the strongest influences in Anakin's life. Using Obi-Wan would be difficult however as the jedi is much more dangerous than Anakin, making his choice as bait or subject of vengence illogical.
Two, Anakin has a living mother on the planet Tatooine, one which he has strong emotions for that serves as a painful reminder of what he left behind. While a nice easy choice for capture, finding her and avoiding Hutt intervention would make her less attractive as a target.
Three, and the prime jewel of your little fact finding mission; Anakin Skywalker is in an ellicit affair with Padme Amidala, Senator from Naboo. Skywalker is bound by the jedi code not to have these kinds of sexual relationships, and Amidala's involvement would do her no political favors. In addition, Skywalker is incredibly in love, making any peril she may be in the most powerful trap in your current arsenal.
The choice is yours, Anakin is such a mess emotionally almost any approach you take will earn the desired response...
