You walk over to the betting table. There are three horses in the third race. The odds are identical on all of them. Only the winner pays, and if you place your $400 you can win $1100.
It all comes down to this.
You walk down to the track and look at the horses. They all look ready to go.
Horse #1, a completely black-haired animal, is Dark Streak.
Horse #2, a brown-skinned horse with white patches, is Brown Lightning.
Horse #3, an animal of mixed coloration with a line of reddish-looking hair along its left flank, is Bolt Of Flame.
You return to the betting table, take a deep breath, and place your final wager, handing over your $400.
