SM:Donut Shop - Save The Fat Man

From Create Your Own Story

You spring into action and race across the donut shop to where the fat man is sitting. In seconds you have him standing up, and leaning forward.

You give him a hard strike with the heel of your hand up high on his back in an attempt to dislodge the donut. You repeat this four more times and despite your efforts the man doesn't seem to want to cough up the donut. You see that he is starting to turn blue and no doubt will pass out soon if you aren't successful.

You stand him up and position yourself behind him, then reach around him with both hands to try the heimlich maneuver. In only three good abdominal thrusts, the donut flies from his throat and bounces off the table and onto the floor.

You let him go and he drops to his knees, coughing and gasping for breath.

"Th-thank y-you... " he says, "Y-you... you can... have the rest... "

He motions up onto the table and the box of donuts. It only took nearly choking to death to make him lose his appitite.

The fat man reaches up and grabs the edge of the table, using it to support himself as he starts getting to his feet when he suddenly freezes. You stare at him for a moment and despite looking like he is in an awkward position, he remains like that. You turn around to find out if anyone else is seeing this and you notice that nobody else in the donut shop appears to be moving either. Everyone is frozen as though time has stopped.

"Thank you for saving that gluttonous beast," you hear a voice say, though you cannot tell from where. It sounds as though the words come from all around you. You recognize the voice as the one you heard when you signed that contract.

"Please understand that although I sound the same as my corrupt half, we are in fact two separate entities sharing the same vessel. I am not here to cheat you, only to offer you a choice," the voice says.

"What choice is that?" you ask.

"Whether or not you wish me to restore you to life, as the contract originally stated, or, allow you to pass on to the afterlife. I do not wish to force an outcome upon you, especially if it is not what you really want. Please think about this decision, and let me know what you decide. If you choose to pass on, I can even allow you to spend the remaining time you have of that original hour stated in the contract."

You consider your options: to live, or to die. You'd have to think long and hard about which of these two options you truly want. You have a tough decision to make.

The End: You have saved a fat man from choking, and are now granted the opportunity to live again or pass on into the afterlife... though that is another story entirely.
