You sprint as hard as you can towards second base as you watch the ball's flight. It sails over the outfielder's head and hits the wall. You race towards third and come to a halt as the throw returns to the infield. The batter is standing on second with a double.
"Getting tense," says the third base-woman. You look up at the scoreboard: your team is trailing 4-3 with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth inning.
"Come on," you yell to the batter. "Let's win it right now!"
The pitcher winds and throws. The batter swings and lines a ball towards left-center field. You race towards the plate and look up to see...
- The left fielder make a diving catch, winning the game for the girls
- The ball sail past the outfielders and roll to the wall, winning the game for your team
