"Dear journal, I've made some modifications to my fortress of solitude. Wait, what was the fortress of solitude from? Was it Batman? No, it might have been that fruitcake from Watchmen. God, I hated that movie. Oh, right, the modifications to my apartment. I found some duct tape and plastic sheeting in my closet, underneath my collection of porno. Wait, why did I even keep those three things together? Anyway, I remembered something from some government site that said that after a nuclear war, you should seal off the rooms, in case like, radioactive fallout or terrorist chemicals get in. So yeah, I sealed off all the doors and windows to my bedroom, or what I've now turned into the control room of the fortress of solitude. Shit, I'm getting pretty hungry, though. Plus, I think I sealed off all of the air access into this room. That might have been the whole point, but I'm getting pretty light-headed now. I'm going to go lie down while I figure out what the hell to do next."
