When you land by the pond, you're surprised the albatross doesn't mount you again. Instead he starts to dance for you. What you don't know is that albatrosses tend to breed only once, focusing on a single egg at a time. What you also don't know is that his egg will hatch last, long after you have laid your other fortyish eggs.
You almost weep with pleasure and joy, and you almost doesn't mind the realization his egg is so big and heavy that you will never get off the ground again until you have laid his egg, and the others too.
The good thing is that the strong albatross will easily fend off any horny swans or other birds. The bad thing is that by the time all the eggs are laid and you would have been ready to fly back to the castle, the last vestige of your human mind is long gone.
You spend the rest of your time as a happy mother. The line of chickens when you swim in the pond reaches from end to end.
