QoL: Exit north, to the farmlands

From Create Your Own Story

Eliza exits north towards the farmland, deciding the idea of a nice stroll on this fine day sounded lovely. The landscape to the north is wide rolling hills, primarily used as pasture. Several small rivers meander through the lowest valleys, making their way south through and around the city to the swampy flatland. The Blackwander River, the only one navigable by boat, can be seen to the east.

Eliza looks around as she makes her way from the gate. The city's stables, where the city guard keeps their patrolling horses and, for a fee, civilians can house their own horses for the night, sits just off the road right as she exits. A stableboy, a young lad perhaps no more than ten or eleven years of age, can be seen laboring near a horse far at the end of the building. Probably an old or injured steed. He picks up a pail and disappears around the corner, probably off to take care of something somewhere else. A few guards patrolled the road, but the horse's stall and the boy both are well tucked away. Eliza grins.
