You push him roughly backwards into the dirt. He yelps in alarm, then scrambles back into his hut. For a moment you tense, expecting the villagers to emerge, armed, but instead there is nothing. it is as if the whole place were home to nothing but ghosts. Well, that is all they will be if the Codpiece is not recovered.
You stride on into the very centre of the village. There are a few larger houses here – even Poonani has its nobility, it seems. But the only spot of interest is a small inn offering food for sale.
