You swing your fist, intending to punch this jerk in the nose, teach him a lesson, and show off your manliness to Annabelle. Unfortunately, the man simply grabs your arm and twists it painfully. You can only stand there, in pain and helpless.

"Another fail, Ana?" the man asks.

"Yep. And after he did so well earlier. What a shame," Annabelle replies.

WHAT?! You stare. "You know each other?" The wheels turn in your brain. "You set me up!"

"I prefer to call it giving you a test," she says. "And you failed it. I wanted to see how you'd react in a situation like this. Immediately resorting to violence is not the answer. You're not worthy of me." You hang your head in shame.

"The good stuff you did earlier will count for something," she continues. "I'm going to have to let you go from work, but I'll let you resign instead of firing you." The big man releases you and you put your face in your hands. Not only are you unemployed, but your already fragile confidence with women has just taken a big hit.
