It is an animated movie about pirates and werewolf pirates.
An hour and half into the movie, the heroine, Esme, is captured by the werewolf pirates. She talks with the werewolf captain for a bit and then the scene cuts to Esme's wrists tied round the mast. The werewolf pirate is whipping her back. It's mostly a closeup of her face, though there is one shot her back, showed the back of shirt has been ripped off.
She has already received nine lashes offscreen, since the first mate starts off by saying "ten"
Esme is whipped a total of twenty times. She doesn't look too shaken. She doesn't scream or cry. The whole scene is actually kinda tame by your standards.
Shortly after there is brief shot of a few slaves, including Esme, in some mines. You see a quick shot of Esme's exposed back, showing a few scars but not really consistent with the whipping. A werewolf pirate is apparently whipping a slave offscreen.
Ten minutes later, Esme has tried to escape and the werewolf captain tells her he is gonna give her forty lashes. Disappointingly, it cuts to the last seven lashes and even then we mostly just see other slaves watching and Esme's face as she bears with the pain.
In the end, Esme leads a group of pirates, that she is the acting captain of to defeat the werewolf pirates. The British royal navy catch Esme and her crew but unrealistically, they drop the charges.
The movie ends and you notice Amanda is turned on by the whipping scenes.
