Using your initiative, you cast cure upon the undead beast. Struggling, the Valefar soon falls to the ground with no signs of life. Valefar's eyes stay open, and the beast is not moving. To make sure he's dead, you slice its head off. The cure seems to have also cured the air of the poisonous gas.
A bit trigger-happy with Caladbolg, but you were still flexible with your magic and the Vorpal Blade. Speaking of the Vorpal Blade, you pull it from the beast.
