Offer to pay for the whole check

You reach for the bill. "It's on me."
Annabelle smiles. "No, it's all right. I'll pay for it."
"I really think I should..."
"No, you don't have to. I just needed to know that you were willing to pay for it. Now that I know, I'll pay for the meal. Coming here was my idea. Anyway, I make a lot more than you. You really shouldn't have to pay at a place like this on a minimum wage salary." You feel relief flow through you. You impressed her, and you didn't have to pay a thing!
After Annabelle pays the check, the two of you head back out to the parking lot. It's dark now, and because it was so crowded earlier, she had to park at the far end of the lot.
Suddenly, a large, muscular man appears out of the darkness, pointing a gun. "All right. Money, phones, jewelry, anything valuable...hand 'em over."
You wonder if this is another of Annabelle's tests. She's done the "see how my date reacts to a threatening guy" one before, and she might do it again. And she gave you another just now with the restaurant bill.
