You don't like the idea of stealing from the big boss, but at the same time you don't want to go directly against Annabelle. So you say, "How about I just pay for the pizza?"

Annabelle gives you a strange look. Then she says, "Okay." She looks at the keys in your hand. "I'll take those back. Forget about the wine." When the food arrives, you make small talk over the delicious pizza, then go back to work.

Over the next few weeks, Annabelle starts asking you for various favors, little ones at first, but slowly growing bigger and more frequent. You find yourself unable to say no. Finally, you suddenly realize one day that you have become one of those losers who gets used by girls without getting anything in return. You think back to when you offered to pay for the pizza, wishing you could take it back.
