You decide to wait. Someone should end up coming by at some point anyway, and the sun should be coming up a little higher soon to warm you up...
Several minutes later, you realize you were wrong on the second point and are growing more uncertain on the first. The cold air continues to wash over your skin, sending chills up your back. The sun quickly hid from the courtyard as the last ray of light slipped over the roof of the mansion. Walking over to the door, you notice that it is locked. Looking around the courtyard, you see there are now gates at both the garden and the hallway entrance. Unsure when the changes happened, the walls of the courtyard also seemed taller, and a statue of a woman stood on the other side of the grass.
