To post another part of the story on this site, you must first log on to the site. If you don’t have your own account, message firestarter on MLP forums for help. Once you are logged in, proceed to the part of the story you want to expand on. This should be a blank page, and so there should be an editing box up on the screen already. If not, click on the editing tab to bring it up. Do not edit established pages.
You may type your part of the story directly into the editing box and it will show up just fine, but it will also not be formatted nicely. You can use basic HTML tags to make your story a bit more presentable. For example, the open and close tags <p> and </p> will allow you to section your work into paragraphs, by placing the desired text between the tags. Others you may want to use are <i> </i> for italicizing, <b> </b> for bolding, <center></center> to center text, and <h3> </h3> to create larger, bolded text for a header. These are the basic HTML tools to use. More complex ones can be found in the site tutorial, but these are hardly needed.
Once you have typed in that bit of story, you will need to create options for readers to choose. These will be in the form of internal links, formatted in the following manner: [[My Little Pony Love is Magic 0000 Title|Link Text]]. At 0000, please insert the abbreviated character data, the first letter of the story’s origin, the character species, origin, and gender. For example, if you are expanding on the arc of a Male Unicorn from Canterlot, starting in Ponyville, the data would be PUCM. After that, put the title of the page the option will create, as descriptive and concise as possible. After the |, put the actual text you want the link to show up as, the sentence or word the reader will click on to indicate their choice.<p> <p>Do as many of these option links as you like, and then, and this is required, put the following text at the bottom of the page: [[Category: My Little Pony Friendship is Love]] [[Category: My Little Pony Friendship is Love Story Pages]] [[Category: My Little Pony Friendship is Love 0000]]. Again, insert the character data at 0000.
