Katie realized that she had gotten lost when she ran across a stream of water. Frustrated, Katie threw a temper tantrum as she continued on, following the water.
"Fucking shit! Of course my damn GPS ran out out of power! Of course I ran into that pervy mechanic! And of course I got lost because of how mad I was!" she yelled into the hills, hearing her voice echo back from the fog.
Unfortunately for Katie, in her anger she missed another key feature. Stomping further into the forest, she missed that the ground in front of her wasn't solid, and was in fact a mud puddle that had formed in the rain. Stepping into it, she screamed and landed face-first into the pool. She was stuck in the pool for a few seconds before pulling her head out of the pool, whipping hair everywhere. She breathed in heavily, pulling herself out of the pool. Looking down at herself, she saw that she was covered in mud from head to toe. Her backside was still clean, at least for a few seconds until she slipped as she tried getting up, landing her butt-first back into the pool. Now thoroughly covered in the mud, Katie was even more miserable than before. She cried for a bit in the mud.
