In mere moments, there are camera crews and an announcer in front of you. Where the hell did they come from so fast?

"The winner of Battle Royale, Zeke Davidson!" booms the announcer. "Zeke, how did you do it?"

"Ferocity and bloodlust."

"Bloodlust? You actually enjoyed killing your fellow students?!"

You cackle evilly. "Absolutely. I'd have loved to have killed all 49 others myself!"

"What are your future plans?"

"To celebrate my victory and make it known that no one had better get in my way!"

"There you have it. Tune in next year at a new location for the second edition of Battle Royale!"

A man appears. "I'm the sponsor. Here's your $200,000 check... now go home." He seems truly frightened to be around you.

Within a week of Battle Royale, your anger and despondency wells up. You go to an abandoned warehouse, sling a rope over a beam and put a noose around your own neck. As you're about to kick away the footstool, you see a ghostly figure, looking very much like Marie, with an infinitely sad expression on her face. You kick the stool away and feel your neck break.
