Leaving/Marie/Suicide/Hanging/Second thoughts

From Create Your Own Story

Now that you're staring it in the face you realize, you don't really want to do this. This is supremely stupid, you don't have to kill yourself. You can talk to your family, maybe go to therapy, get help, or just go carry out one of your other ideas instead.

You try to untie the rope around your wrists but to no avail, you can't reach the knot anymore. But with the rope looped around your legs you can't reach the one around your neck. You need to get the rope off your legs before you can free your neck.

After standing, puzzling it out for a while, you decide to try, carefully, to pull your legs out of the rope. You lift one leg and try to work the rope down off of it, standing on one leg on the swivel chair.

You get the rope down to your knee, and your other leg begins to shake. Just over the knee, you can't get it any further without curling up a bit. Trying to curl up, you lean too far over. The chair rolls out from under you across the floor. You kick your legs out, bringing the rope back up between them.

You struggle and fight, but to no avail. The fan is bolted solidly to the ceiling and there's nothing close enough for you to get your feet onto. Your airway and blood circulation to your head is cut off.

Your vision slowly fades. Minutes stretch into hours while you fight for oxygen. The rope between your legs cuts between your labia and rubs you raw, but the pain is overshadowed by the feeling of brain cells dying faster every second, every minute without oxygenated blood.

Eventually you can't fight anymore. Your frantic thrashing is replaced by twitching and tremors as you lose what little control you had left of your movements.

Your world is black. You may have changed your mind at the last second, but the bright side is that nothing hurts anymore, in any sense.

End.
