As you approach the statue, you can't remember whether or not it was there before the sun set. Every step across the grass sends more chills throughout your body, now so cold it is beginning to hurt. The statue is of a voluptuous woman slightly taller than you with her arms held in a circle over her head similar to a ballerina. Her gaze seemed to look towards where the sun had been a few minutes ago. Suddenly, you start to feel warmth as you near the statue. You blink in disbelief and look up at the stone woman. She hadn't moved, but her eyes seemed to be looking at you instead of where you thought her focus was from across the courtyard.
You stop and look into her eyes for what feels like several minutes.The warmth continues until you realize you are unconsciously walking closer to the statue. As you stop, the staggering cold rips through your body, almost bringing you to your knees. As you start to stare at the statue again, the warmth returns...
