Investigate the mysterious figures in the woods

You have to see who - or what - the mysterious figures are. You begin making your way cautiously towards them, your pistol ready in your left hand and your sword in your right, the muscles in both your slender but toned forearms standing out as you grip your weapons tightly.
Suddenly, a rock comes flying at you. You barely manage to deflect it with your sword. Then come the growls and snarls. Lots of them. You take a deep breath. "Bring it on, fuckers. Come out and fight me like men."
A lone zombie bursts out of the trees, rushing at you. You wait for it to come close, then step to the side at the last moment and cleave its skull with your blade. More undead advance, a few in front, but dozens behind them. You slay a few more of them with your sword, then draw your pistol and begin shooting. Even though you're a good enough markswoman to make every shot count, more zombies keep pouring out and replacing the ones you drop.
Your pistol clicks empty. As you eject the empty magazine and reach for a fresh one, the new magazine slips out of your fingers and bounces forward, towards the zombies. Now you have only one mag left.
- Snatch up the fallen ammo before retreating
- Ignore the dropped one and load your last magazine while retreating
