Ilfang, Boss Battle / Phase 4 (Teaming up with Asuna) - SAO:LW

You: ASUNA!
Before Asuna was able to respond, it was already too late. Ilfang's talwar absolutely slashed Asuna. For a moment you thought all hope was lost, and that nothing would matter anymore without Asuna round. That was until you saw what really happened. Ilfang indeed hit Asuna, although it was her red rag that received the blow. Asuna herself didn't receive a single point of damage from that hit. Sadly her red rag has been destroyed, but something really beautiful got revealed in its place. An orange, long haired beauty emerged from the rag, and she looks furious as hell. With her rag destroyed, people were able to see her real identity. Since Asuna told you she wouldn't want to come in contact with the average SAO player, you fully understand her rage. Her rage reminded you that you have to focus as well, and not attempt to get a hard one because of her beauty. Of course you knew that she looked like this underneath her rag, but seeing her in full glory was en eyesight you wouldn't want to cancel. It seemed like Kirito had the same thought, although that doesn't mean that he hasn't forgiven her for not inviting her for her party.
Asuna strikes Ilfang, and manages to deal minor damage. It would only take a slice of a small dagger to kill the beast now. Both you and Kirito have recovered from their rolls and gaze at Asuna, and the both of you prepare a Sword Skill that almost no one knew. It was a secret skill that could be found during the Anneal Blade quest, that allowed the user to leap towards the enemy and to result in a fatal blow. Since it takes a few seconds time to charge the skill, it was now a race for who would be able to hit the boss earlier. It was a race for the Exp.
You and Kirito: Sword Skill...
Ilfang was now completely vulnerable. It was unable to move after its attack, and it has to recover. It seemed like that attack was his trump card, and also his finishing move.
Asuna: You can do it Razore!
Asuna's encouragement felt your heart with determination. The green-glowing energy bursting from your blade was done charging up, only a split second before Kirito's blade charged up.
- You: Sonic Leap!
- Kirito: Sonic Leap!
Both of you leap towards the boss. The only difference is that you were a little faster at the boss. The moment your sword touched the boss, you already had defeated it. But you wanted to keep slashing it together with Kirito to make it actually look cool for everyone who had to back off. Ilfang the Kobold Lord wasn't anymore, and everyone in the room is safe. Sadly, Diavel had been lost, but he would have been proud of everyone in the room.
- Kirito: Impressive Razore. I did not expect you to be such a great swordsman!
- You: Thanks Kirito. Don't only thank me though, Asuna and I both did as much.
You immediately look at Asuna. This time you can actually see her blush instead of assuming she is doing that.
- Kirito: Yeah, you're right. Great work Asuna.
It was an unavoidable fact that Kirito and Asuna weren't that fond of each other. You wonder if that partially your fault, since she asked you to party up with her in the first place. You wonder if things would have been better between the two of them if you weren't that popular. Suddenly, a big screen with 'Congratulations' appeared where Ilfang had been slayed. At the end of the room appeared a chest as well. Also, everyone received 2000 Col for helping to defeat the boss.
Kibaou: Hah that chest is mine suckers!
When Kibaou attempted to open the chest, he got thrown back by a heavy shock. It inflicted minor damage, only about 10 HP.
- Kibaou: What the hell?!
- Asuna: I think I know what the reason is behind this. Try to open it, Razore.
You follow Asuna's orders, and you walk towards the chest. In the meantime, Kirito also says:
- Kirito: There's no doubt about it. That's the Last Attack Bonus. The person who dealt the last blow to the boss is able to open it.
- Kibaou: So the last person gets the Exp AND the special items? What a load of crap!
While totally ignoring Kibaou, you reach the chest and try to open it. You succeed, and inside, a dark-green coat could be seen. Strange, the coat seems to have the exact same color as your eye color. You tap the coat slightly, and it disappears. It landed in your inventory, and you equip it to show it off. Asuna runs towards you and grabs you, giving you a proper hug.
Asuna: You dummy! You had me so worried there, I thought you'd died!
Her worries seem to satisfy you, since it means she really cares about you. It also makes you a tad sad, since you don't want her to worry too much about your HP. You return the hug to her.
You: Ironic. I thought I'd lost you the moment the boss hit you, Asuna. I'm so glad to know that your rag was a decoy.
The two of you continue to hug each other for a few more seconds, until you both felt like it'd be awkward to hug this long in front of a crowd.
