Head toward the Staten Island Ferry, resolved to travel by Sea
From Create Your Own Story
You think, "I need to get outta this place, pronto!
You start walking south toward the harbor, there you decide you can possibly catch a ferry of some sort. As blocks by blocks pass by you finally see the glimmering sight of water.
The walk has winded you so you take a break sitting on a near by bench. While sitting there on the black hardwood bench you glaze into the bright blue sky, almost slipping into a dream. However, there is no time for that.
You take a quick look at your surroundings
Looking around, you notice a sign that reads...
~~*STATEN ISLAND FERRIES*~~ Purchase MetroCards Here
Below that sign are a row of vending machines; you notice a row of turnstyles not far beyond that.
The prices on the vending machines are much steeper than you are used to. For example, a 10-ride pass costs $40.00, working out to $4 per ride. Or a weekly unlimited ride Metrocard.
There is what used to be called a "token booth" near the turnstyles.
This is strange, because you recalled that the Staten Island Ferry was a free ride when you last went on it.
The turnstyles are close, about 50 feet ahead of your current location.
Upon further examination you also notice a few smaller ferries parked by the Battery Park shoreline a short walk away. Those are a couple of Circle Line ferries (normally used for the Statue of Liberty trip) and a smaller, one-enclosed-deck and one open deck, yellow "New York Water Taxi".
Do You:
Head straight toward the token booth
Walk toward the docked ferries and jump aboard
Attempt to swim to Staten Island
