You direct your steps straight back towards the campus.
Just as you step into the entrance to your dorm, you're ambushed by about 10 students. "Hey, weren't you with the girl when she got attacked?"
You nod. "That was me."
"She's in critical but stable condition," a plump brunette informs you. "Looks like she'll be all right. But she won't be able to speak any louder than a whisper for the rest of her life."
"I'm just glad she didn't die," you respond.
A blond-haired muscle-bound jock growls, "Thankfully the cops were on the scene. No need for a trial. Asshole got what he deserved."
"I agree," you grunt.
You head on up to your room. "Glad you're back," Josh says. "The others are having pizza at Fat Slice, they'll be back any minute."
