You go to the cafeteria and scan the mass of students. Sure enough, you find Josie in her usual spot, with her friends Erin and Desiree.
You sacrifice $2.25 of your money for a small sandwich, and then grab a table a few yards away from where Josie sits.
Pretending to eat your sandwich, you lock your eyes on the goddess. She laughs heartily at something one of her friends says. You wish that you could be the one making her laugh.
With a sigh, you:
- Continue to watch your love live her life devoid of the knowledge of your existence
- Muster up any scrap of confidence you might still have and approach Josie
- Throw something at her, and then look away, like you didn't do it, just to get a rush from her looking at you, even if it is under such superficial circumstances
